Pistacia lentiscus L. (Anacardiaceae) is a medicinal plant with a long history of use in Mediterranean region based upon a range of medicinal purpose, the plant exhibits biological activities including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties. However, few toxicogenetic studies have been carried out.
