We assessed the transcriptomes of two bacterial endophytes in the early phase of rice root colonization, corresponding to the perception of plant root exudates. The experiment involved treatment with root exudates from two rice varieties the bacterial cultures. For each bacterial strain three conditions are used (two rice varieties, control without exudates), each condition in triplicate.
