Viral contig data for "Decadal patterns link viruses to methanogen bloom collapse and Desulforudis persistence in a tectonic aquifer"

This repository contains processed viral data supporting a longitudinal investigation of microbial and viral community dynamics in BLM1, a deep-groundwater monitoring well within the Death Valley Regional Flow System. The study examines changes in the viral community across sampling campaigns conducted in 2007, 2011, and 2021. The deposited materials include all 107 viral contigs analyzed in the study, recovered from metagenomic and metaviromic datasets, together with associated metadata. These files are provided as a consolidated resource to support reproducibility and comparative analyses of viral community composition, genome characteristics, predicted functions, lifestyles, and host associations across the BLM1 time series. Primary sequence data generated for this study are deposited in the NCBI databases under BioProject PRJNA1503083. For completeness and ease of access, this Zenodo repository contains copies of all viral contigs analyzed in the study, including sequences that may also be available through NCBI or other public databases.
