资源简介:
This dataset accompanies a randomized controlled trial that investigated the effects of a lamellar-structured ceramide-containing emulsion on the skin barrier function of surgical nurses. The study was conducted at a single medical center and included participants assigned to either an intervention group, which applied the emulsion daily, or a control group with no intervention.
Skin physiological parameters were measured at four time points: prior to the intervention (Pre), and on Day 1, Day 3, and Day 7. The recorded variables include:
Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL)
Stratum corneum moisture content
Skin surface pH
Local skin temperature and humidity
Handwashing frequency
Glove type and hand hygiene method
Statistical analysis involved Wilcoxon signed-rank tests for within-group comparisons and Mann–Whitney U tests for between-group differences. Bonferroni correction was applied to adjust for multiple comparisons. The intervention group demonstrated a significant improvement in skin barrier function, as indicated by reductions in TEWL.
This dataset provides valuable evidence for skin care interventions in surgical and healthcare settings and can support further research in occupational dermatology and infection control.
