Coastal areas at risk of sea level rise in Italy 2100

According to forecasts made in 2019, large areas of Italy's coast were at risk of flooding due to the sea-level rise induced by climate change. This graph shows the 15 areas where a flood risk assessment had already been performed. In the Po Valley, extending across the regions of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Veneto, and Emilia-Romagna, an area of about 5.4 thousand square kilometers would be at risk of flooding by the end of the century.
