The forest class (vegTypesRas_AB_BCR6_2011) and age (ageRas_AB_BCR6_2011) rasters were derived from publicly-available national-extent datasets of Canadian boreal tree species biomass and stand age for 2011 (Beaudoin et al., 2017). We input, processed and calibrated these rasters in R (version 4.4.1; R Core Team. 2024), using a set of SpaDES modules (SpaDES: Spatially Discrete Event System; Chubaty and McIntire, 2021) following Barros et al.
