Non-thermal oxygen plasma as disinfectant for acrylic denture base resin: effects on the physical and mechanical properties

An innovative process based on an oxygen non-thermal plasma (O2 NTP) generated in a sealed bag under low-pressure condition could be used for dentures disinfection. The purpose of this data collection was to determine the effects of O2 NTP treatments on the physical and mechanical properties of a resin for denture base (ProBase® Hot, Ivoclar). This data collection contains the results of the resin’s dimensional stability, surface hardness, flexural strength and elastic modulus after one (P1 W) or six (P6 W) O2 NTP treatments. The effect of the low pressure (LP1 W) was also investigated and compared to the control group (C W).
