Genetic modifications to improve biological nitrogen fixation for augmenting nitrogen needs of rice.

The nrfA-targeted paddy soil metagenome were analyzed from ICAR-CRRI Cuttack farm. DNA was extracted to characterize nrfA-targeted microbial community composition and functional potential. Sequencing performed to study DNRA microbial diversity which is related to nitrogen cycling for enhancing soil health.
