Dung beetles were sampled using standardised baited (with human dung) pitfall traps spaced 100 apart. A total of 145 traps were sampled across the study, in primary forest, secondary forest and cattle pasture. Each set of traps were set-up in the field for four days, re-baited (with old bait removed) after 48 hours and beetle samples collected every 24 hours. All individuals were identified to species or morpho-species. Species determinations were made by; F. Edwards, C. A. Medina, A. Gonzalez, and J. S. Cardenas at the Instituto Alexander von Humboldt, Colombia. Specimens from this project are also deposited at the Instituto Alexander von Humboldt, Colombia.Please note that taxonomic revisions are made frequently, and adjustments to this data may occur.
