Rekod rumput laut semasa Malaysia (Current records of seagrasses in Malaysia)

Seagrasses are flowering plants (angiosperm) that live along coastal areas in both tropical and temperate regions. In this study, previous seagrass records in Malaysia were collected to form an organised compilation. A total of 340 material references were collected from journals, articles, and other reading materials. Terengganu, Johor and Sabah were the most frequent research locations where more than 50 material references were made to these areas. Based on this compilation, the most abundant species of seagrass species came from Sabah with 12 species in total.
