In 2023, Korean Air was the domestic airline that recorded the highest operating profit with around 1.6 trillion South Korean won. Korean Air's main domestic competitor, Asiana Airlines, had an operating profit of roughly 400 billion won that year. Most of the domestic airlines recorded an operating profit that year.
