GMC career progression data by UK medical school 1997-2007

The following data were extracted from the GMC register freely available online (https://data.gmc-uk.org/gmcdata/home/#/reports/Undergraduate%20training/Stats/report):

·         The proportion of graduates from 19 UK medical schools from 1997-2007 who entered the GP register, following research norms from McManus et al. (2000).

·         The proportion of graduates from 19 UK medical schools from 1997-2007 who entered the any specialist register

·         The proportion of graduates from 19 UK medical schools from 1997-2007 who remain in postgraduate training

·         The proportion of graduates from 19 medical schools from 1997-2007 who gained membership to the Royal College of Physicians.
