Metastasis is the most important cause of cancer-related death and it has been the most important issue both in basic and clinical cancer researches. Through in vivo spontaneous metastasis animal model, we successfully cultivated and expanded the metastasis lineage cells for genomic, methylomic, and transcriptomic analyses based on the high efficiency and excellent viability of a modified CTC-capturing system together with primary and metastasis tumors as well as parental 4T1-hHER2 breast cancer cell line. By using in vivo spontaneous metastasis animal model from NSG mice to harvest all metastatic lineages of cancer cells from primary tumor, circulating tumor cell, and metastasis tumor for following evaluation on cancer metastasis evolution.
