Christ is seen walking out of a stone building, a cloth around his waist. He is being escorted by an armored Roman soldier, while another Roman, to the right of Jesus, is gesturing towards him as if he is being shown off. At the bottom of the stairs, a large crowd is gathered, and is composed of people ranging from mounted soldiers, to a bald fat man in a robe, to a mother with her young child. Above the crowd can be seen the upraised hands of many of the observers, as well as the head of an ax, the end of a spear, and a flag being vigorously waved. The back of the photoprint reads "Ecee Homo -- behold in man".
