资源简介:
The composition of the fecal microbiota of spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR-c) and normotensive Wistar-Kyoto rats (WKY-c) at 14 and 21 weeks of age was studied. In addition, the effect of administration of arbequina variety table olives for 7 weeks on the intestinal microbiota of SHR (SHR-o) and its relationship with changes in blood pressure was analysed.Stool samples were collected from SHR-c, WKY-c at 14 and 21 weeks of age and from SHR-o at 21 weeks of age. 16S rRNA gene raw reads of the v3-v4 region of the 16S rRNA gene were obtained from these samples using the Illumina platform. The body weight of the rats as well as food and water consumption were measured at 14 and 21 weeks of age.Systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and heart rate (HR) were determined in WKY-c, SHR-c and SHR-o rats at 14 and 21 weeks of age. Measurements were performed using a non-invasive automatic PA analyser for rodents (LE5001 Harvard Apparatus, Panlab, Barcelona, Spain) as previously described.Plasma samples from WKY-c, SHR-c and SHR-o were used to determine malondialdehyde (MDA) at the end of the study by the method described by Ohkawa et al. (1979).
