Can deciphering the growth of Meckel’s Diverticulum help us to decide resection technique?

This is the first study to demonstrate growth of Meckel's diverticulum and displacement of heterotopic mucosa with age in children. Consideration of this development may alter surgical preferences for safe diverticulum excision. We believe that safe diverticulum excision in children will change the approach to incidental Meckel's diverticulum.
