Rock indentation tests with lateral confinement on Gilderhaus Bentheim sandstone

This dataset records the test results for rock indentation on Gildehaus Bentheim sandstone with a lateral confinement up to 20 MPa and is associated with the study named 'On the effect of lateral confinement on rock-cutting tool interactions' . The original test result for rock indentation with lateral confinement are in files of .mat format. Each file of .mat format is named including the following essentials: the 'GBS' , test ID and lateral confinement. For example, 'GBS-AD2-20MPa_Load.mat' means a Gildehaus Bentheim Sandstone specimen with a test ID of AD2 tested at 20 MPa confinement. The test IDs at different confinements are listed below: Ambient condition: AB1, AB2, AB3, V1 2 MPa: X1, X2, X3, AA3, AR3, T1, T2, T3 5 MPa: Y1, Y2, AC1, AP3, U2 8 MPa: AO3, AQ3 10 MPa: AC3, Z2, Z3, AN3, U1 20 MPa: AD1, AD2, AD3 Files ended with .csv are acoustic emission data. These data have been processed with matlab script named 'ReadData_Dahlhaus.m','ReadData_initial.m' and 'ReadData_2022', in which specimen dimensions are included.
