The aim of this project is to identify if the motivational state of eating healthily compared to enjoying tasty but unhealthy food impacts proactive and reactive food-specific inhibitory control. In a within-subjects design, we induce health-oriented and indulgence-oriented motivational states to explore how such temporary motivational states may impact food-specific inhibitory control, using Stop Signal Task and Go/No-Go Task. Data from the pilot study (N=8) and the main study are shared, all analyses are available in Appendix B. Stop Signal Task is also replicated in a separate sample, can be accessed at: https://osf.io/bmwzx/
