The whole genome of Acinetobacter baumannii AB0014 was sequenced using Illumina paired end technology. The sequencing generated 10094401 reads per direction R1 and R2, with a total of 3.21 billion bases. The assembled genome consists of multiple scaffolds, with the longest scaffold exceeding 20000 bp. The coding sequence distribution indicates a wide range of gene lengths, with a notable number of genes above 5000 bp. This strain was sequenced to investigate multidrug resistance mechanisms, particularly focusing on OmpA-mediated antibiotic resistance. The assembly provides insights into the genetic architecture of A. baumannii AB0014, contributing to the study of antimicrobial resistance and potential therapeutic strategies.
