Primary Survey - Wealth Effect Paper

This dataset contains anonymised responses from a household survey conducted for the study “Wealth Effect: The Impact of Capital Gains on Consumption in India.” The survey records age, income, wealth allocation (property, gold, equities), changes in asset values, percentage of gains realised, income changes, and household spending changes. It also includes responses to hypothetical interest-rate scenarios. Data were collected online between June and August 2024. A total of 115 responses were received, of which 100 valid responses were retained after removing incomplete entries. Raw data, cleaned data, and a variable codebook are included. All responses are fully anonymised.
