Hyperpredation is the process by which an introduced primary prey enables a generalist predator to increase dramatically in numbers leading to sustained abnormally high predation of secondary native prey. We performed a systematic review of the current literature regarding the hyperpredation process. Through the PRISMA protocol, we selected 44 publications for review.We then classified the publications to obtain more detailed information about our research question.
