<b>Introduction</b><br>
The series presented on this page constitute the second of two updates of the EU KLEMS Productivity and Growth Accounts on industry level in 2016 and 2017. With the current release, the 2016 release has been extended to include all individual EU-28 countries, several EU aggregates, and the United States. In July 2018 the 2017 EU KLEMS release has been updated with some minor revisions. An overview of these revisions can be found in the following document:<br>

Concepts and methodologies to calculate the various growth and productivity variables in the 2016 and 2017 EU KLEMS releases were adjusted to the new European System of National Accounts (ESA 2010). The 2017 release has a number of new features:
<ul>
<li>Time period: 1995-2015 for most countries and industries. See country notes for deviations.</li>
<li>The data on output, value added and employment is consistent with official statistics as available from Eurostat at the corresponding industry levels. See country notes for deviations.</li>
<li>The asset types were modified and extended according to the ESA 2010 requirements.</li>
<li>The data on gross fixed capital formation, prices, and capital stocks is consistent with Eurostat at the corresponding industry levels. See country notes for deviations. As assumptions with regard to depreciation patterns differ between the official estimates, the capital services measures are not fully harmonized as in earlier modules of EU KLEMS.</li>
<li>For labour services use has been made of the micro-data from the European Labour Force Survey (LFS) and the Structure of Earnings Survey (SES) for recent years.</li>
<li>Growth accounts have not been calculated for Greece, Ireland, Portugal, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Euro Area, EU-15, and EU-28 due to substantial gaps in capital data.</li>

<b>Sources and methods</b><br>
The EU KLEMS updates in the new ISIC Rev. 4 industry classification are provided on a country by country basis. Documentation is provided separately for each country and release.<br><br>
