Chatham Soils (NRCS)

Polygon data published by The National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to identify and classify official soil types. Data was clipped to Chatham County using the polygon feature "BND_Chatham_Water". Downloaded 5/23/2017 Dataset originally published in 2013 Dataset last edited September 2016 SSURGO depicts information about the kinds and distribution of soils on the landscape. The soil map and data used in the SSURGO product were prepared by soil scientists as part of the National Cooperative Soil Survey.
