Takes a set of cartesian data points as input, fits an free to rotate 3D ellipsoid, and returns the associated parameters (see fit_3d_ellipsoid.pro for more details). Please refer to Gagné et al. 2014 (see link) when using these routines. Since this routine uses krEllipsoidFit written by Ronn Kling and Jerry Lefever, please also give them credit and refer to the website www.rlkling.com
