Individual cerebellar mossy fiber axons (MFAs) convey both sensory and motor information. Here, we present the population activity of pontine MFAs, which we found to be heterogeneous and high-dimensional. Furthermore, different subpopulations of MFAs are active during distinct behavioral states, with some preferentially engaged during quiet periods and others during active movement.
