A dataset of 250 m resolution fractional vegetation cover in Northern China's Grassland based on FY-3D NDVI from 2019 to 2023

Fractional vegetation cover (FVC) serves as a key indicator for evaluating the health and sustainability of grassland ecosystems. Utilizing the Google Earth Engine platform, this study employs FY–3D NDVI remote sensing data, along with grassland and soil type data from Northern China, for the 2019–2023 growing seasons. A 250 m resolution FVC dataset for the grasslands of Northern China was created using dimidiate pixel models, covering the period from 2019 to 2023. This dataset provides a valuable resource for exploring the temporal and spatial changes in the grasslands of Northern China and can be applied in fields such as environmental change monitoring, ecological conservation strategy development, and climate change research.
