The 100-meter grid population dataset of Shanghai, generated by the spatial Leslie model for China during 2010–2050, exhibits a relative root mean square error (%RMSE) of 0.31% for individuals aged 65 years and older. In the validation of the projected population distribution between 2015 and 2050, this dataset achieves a Pearson correlation coefficient exceeding 0.73 across all age groups, with the highest prediction accuracy observed in the 15–64 age group (R² = 0.83).
