This study presents a comparative analysis of hourly PM2.5 levels in Delhi from October 20 to November 3 in 2023 and 2024, highlighting significant air quality trends and pollution management strategies' effectiveness. In 2023, Delhi experienced alarming pollution levels, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) peaking at over 800, indicating a severe public health crisis that necessitated urgent interventions. Conversely, while 2024 also faced elevated PM2.5 levels, peaking at 600 on October 31, the subsequent decline in pollution levels and stabilization of the AQI below hazardous thresholds indicate a more effective response to air quality challenges. The analysis reveals a reduced duration of hazardous conditions in 2024, demonstrating the impact of enhanced pollution control measures and community engagement. Despite remaining challenges, the quicker recovery from pollution spikes underscores the effectiveness of implemented policies. These findings emphasize the importance of sustained efforts in air quality management and continuous monitoring to adapt to changing environmental conditions. As Delhi continues to confront urban air pollution, ongoing collaboration among government, industries, and communities is essential to safeguard public health and foster a healthier environment for all residents.
