This dataset primarily contains patent data in the field of organic chemical bioactive small molecules from domestic patent databases. Calculations were performed on the patent data using a self-developed algorithm to analyze the R&D activity of applicants, which helps enterprises gain insights into the R&D activity of their competitors. The dataset construction and processing procedures are detailed below: 1. Data Collection: Retrieve and establish a patent database for the field of organic chemical bioactive small molecules via third-party patent database retrieval websites, using keywords and IPC classifications. 2. Data Processing: Clean and classify the collected raw data by removing duplicate and incomplete entries. 3. Key Screening: A total of 10 indicators were selected, including publication number, applicant, total patent applications, and patent application volumes for each year within the past 8 years excluding the current year and the previous year. 4. Algorithm Rules: Define two calculation metrics: X1 = (sum of patent applications from the 2nd to the 5th year prior to the current year) / total patent applications; X2 = (sum of patent applications from the 6th to the 9th year prior to the current year) / total patent applications. Comparing X1 and X2 enables evaluation of an enterprise's R&D activity in this field, and ranking applicants by X1 can reflect their R&D activity in this domain. 5. Data Application: This dataset assists enterprises in understanding the R&D activity of their competitors.
