Stellaria dichotoma var. lanceolata Genome sequencing and assembly

Stellaria dichotoma L. var. lanceolata Bunge (SdLv) is a typical rare medicinal plant commonly used in therapeutic formulations. Here, we firstly determined the complete chloroplast (cp) genome sequence of SdLv to investigate its phylogenetic relationship within family Caryophyllaceae. The results showed that the circular complete chloroplast genome of SdLv was 150,461 bp in length, including a large single copy (LSC) of 81,995 bp, a small single copy (SSC) of 16,730 bp, and two inverted repeats (IR) of 25,868 bp. The GC content accounts for 37.81% and annotated 129 genes, which including 84 protein-coding genes, 8 rRNA genes, and 37 tRNA genes. A maximum likelihood (ML) phylogenetic tree revealed that SdLv is related to pseudostellaria. It highlights the complete cp gene of Caryophyllaceae is still need to research deeply in the future.
