This dataset is a statistical table of the area and growing stock volume of arbor forests grouped by age classes and categorized by dominant tree species, originating from the 7th National Forest Inventory of China. It records the total area and growing stock volume of arbor forests with various dominant tree species, as well as the area and growing stock volume of young forest stands, middle-aged forest stands, near-mature forest stands, mature forest stands and over-mature forest stands, across the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government of the People's Republic of China.
