eDNA sample from Hangzhou Bay, eastern China Targeted loci environmental

This study investigates fish biodiversity in Hangzhou Bay, a dynamic estuarine environment located along the eastern coast of China. Surface water samples were collected at multiple stations and analyzed using environmental DNA (eDNA) techniques targeting the 12S rRNA gene. High-throughput sequencing was applied to identify fish species composition and assess patterns of diversity. The results provide baseline data for understanding the structure of fish communities in Hangzhou Bay and offer valuable insight into ecosystem monitoring and conservation in rapidly developing coastal zones.
