Gut microbiota is associated with longer-term vaccine immunogenicity of CoronaVac

This study aimed to investigate association between gut microbiota and long-term immunogenicity of CoronaVac COVID-19 Vaccine. CoronaVac two-dose recipients were prospectively recruited for measurement of serum neutralizing antibody (NAb) level against wild type SARS-CoV-2 virus at baseline and day180 after the first dose. Shotgun DNA metagenomic sequencing was performed to characterize the microbiome for baseline stool samples. Putative associated bacterial species and metabolic pathways were identified for high NAb response.
