资源简介:

This repository contains the primary dataset, "What Gets Framed and What Gets Indexed A Dual-Track Model of Attribute Selection and Evaluative Valence in Diplomatic Visit Coverage.xlsx". This dataset provides the empirical framework for analyzing media narratives during diplomatic visits. It operationalizes a dual-track model to systematically examine two core mechanisms of media coverage: Attribute Selection: Variables tracking which specific issues, events, or characteristics are highlighted or omitted within the coverage. Evaluative Valence: Metrics quantifying the underlying tone (positive, negative, or neutral) applied to the selected attributes. Compiled by A.M. Rafid Ullah (Jahangirnagar University), the data is structured to facilitate rigorous methodological replication and advanced statistical analysis of media framing and indexing theories. The .xlsx format ensures compatibility for further empirical investigation into how diplomatic relations are mediated and presented to the public.
