The anaerobic/anoxic/oxic (A2O) process was widely applied in the municipal waste water treatment plant (MWWTP) in China, which belongs to biological treatment of sewage, established on the metabolism of microorganisms to remove pollutants. In order to understand microbial ecology of sewage treatment system and improve process performance in cold region, in this paper, we comprehensively investigated the bacterial community diversity, structure, and succession across the units of a full-scale A2O process under low temperature.
