ALCOHOL BASED HAND SANITIZERS IN KENYA- PRE AND PERI COVID-19

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Alcohol- Based Hand Sanitizers were highly recommended globally as a control mechanism for the virus. However, there is no documented evidence of the impact of the pandemic on the quality of the sanitizers. The study hypothesized that there was no significant difference in the quality of sanitizers produced in the periods under investigation.
This data includes the Alcohol- Based Hand Sanitizers available in Kenyan retail market before and during the COVID-19 pandemic period. the laboratory results for Efficacy testing, the gas chromatography results, pH analyses and the visible inspection for compliance with Kenyan standard KS789:2002 - Specifications for Alcohol hand sanitizers.
