LEAF++: Trait Annotated Essay Feedback Dataset

LEAF++ is an extension of the original LEAF dataset, which contains essays and their corresponding feedback collected from EssayForum. In LEAF++, we augment the dataset with trait scores that align with the feedback dimensions defined in LEAF. The trait scores evaluate four dimensions: response to the topic, spelling\/grammar\/style issues, clarity of the author\u2019s point of view, and arguments and support. Each essay is scored on these traits, ensuring consistency between the numerical scores and the qualitative feedback. LEAF++ can be used for developing automated essay scoring models, feedback generation models, or joint models for essay scoring and feedback generation.
