The gene of myostatin not only suppresses skeletal muscle growth but also has been shown to function in metabolisms. Gut microbiota also regulates many metabolic processes in the host. For ruminants, four stomachs with different physiological functions. The rumen microorganisms are associated with cattle production and health traits. However, whether MSTN mutation in cattle resulted in changes of microbiota in the four foregut compartments is unclear. so a systematic study to detect the changes of the microbial composition and metabolome in the four stomachs of MSTN mutated cattle can provide a possible insight into the changes of nutrients absorption in MSTN Gene-Edited cattle.
