Earth Resources Observation and Science Center

The EROS Center is a field facility of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) responsible for acquiring, archiving and distributing remote-sensing data of Earth’s land surface. It hosts one of the largest civilian archives of satellite and aerial imagery, used for land-change science, resource management, and hazard response. The Center operates globally—from the Arctic to Africa—providing data and tools to researchers, policy makers and educators.
