Summary of model parameters and uncertainty ranges. For each parameter, we estimated a value by calibrating the model to represent the estimated HIV prevalence, the number of reported cases overall and across age groups, and the number of people who have begun ART. Uncertainty ranges for parameters are based on available data or are assumed where no data is available. For beta distributed uncertainty ranges, the estimated value represents the mean value. We assumed wide uncertainty ranges for values that are particularly important for HIV transmission, in particular the circumcision and penile cutting parameters.
