资源简介:
This research paper aims to delve into the intricate interplay between organizational politics, emotional intelligence (EI), and employee behavior within the context of modern workplaces. Organizational politics have long been recognized as a pervasive aspect of organizational life, influencing various dimensions of employee behavior. Emotional intelligence, on the other hand, has emerged as a crucial determinant of individuals' ability to navigate organizational dynamics effectively. This paper synthesizes existing literature to provide insights into how organizational politics shape employee behavior and how emotional intelligence moderates this relationship. In a survey of 500 employees associated with various Information Technology (IT) and Information Technology Enabled Services (ITes) organizations in Dehradun (Uttarakhand) region. The study revealed significant relationships among Emotional Intelligence, Need for Power, Perceived Organizational Politics, and Employee Behavior. Emotional Intelligence positively influenced Behavioral Dynamics, while Need for Power correlated with Perceived Organizational Politics. Moreover, Perceived Organizational Politics significantly impacted both Emotional Intelligence and Behavioral Dynamics. Contextual factors such as Relationship Conflict, Resource Constraints, Role Conflict, and Workforce Diversity also influenced Perceived Organizational Politics. The mediated relationship between Perceived Organizational Politics, Emotional Intelligence, and Behavioral Dynamics was established. Overall, the findings support robust associations between these constructs, highlighting their importance in understanding employee behavior within organizational settings. Some of the limitations, future scope of the study and managerial implications is also presented in last section of the research study.
