COPI Equipment Universals — FOIS 2026 Deposit

Frozen OWL 2 DL axiomatization of ten petroleum-production equipment universals (Pump, Valve, Separator, Heat Exchanger, Compressor, Sensor, Pressure Vessel, Filter, Pipe, Column) grounded in BFO 2020 and IOF Core 202602. Supplementary material for the paper "Axiomatizing Industrial Reference Data: A BFO/IOF-Core Enrichment of ISO 15926-4 Equipment Classes" (FOIS 2026, IOS Press). The deposit comprises: (1) a core ontology with 99 named OWL 2 DL classes, 90 restriction axioms, and 16 disjointness axioms, together with SKOS cross-standard links to ISO 15926-4, DEXPI, and CFIHOS; (2) an ABox evaluation module with one representative individual per equipment universal; (3) a negative-test ABox confirming that disjointness violations are detected; (4) an IOF Core alignment module providing rdfs:subClassOf iof:MaintainableMaterialItem bridge axioms for all ten universals; and (5) HermiT reasoning logs for four verification checks. The ontology IRI is https://www.inf.ufrgs.br/ontologies/copi/ with version IRI https://www.inf.ufrgs.br/ontologies/copi/releases/fois2026-equipment. This deposit uses human-readable class IRIs (e.g., copi:Pump) not yet reconciled with the opaque identifiers of the live COPI release; reconciliation via owl:equivalentClass is planned for a future COPI release.
