Usefulness of serum microRNA as a predictive marker of recurrence and prognosis in biliary tract cancer after radical surgery

Our results provide compelling evidence for the potential usefulness of specific serum miRNAs as an effective predictive tool of recurrence and prognostic in BTC patients with radical surgery. Serum microRNA profiles of 66 samples from 22 BTC patients (recurrence group; 13, non-recurrence group; 9) who underwent radical surgery at three time points; before surgery, after surgery, recurrence or last observation period (in case of non-relapse).
