The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Data Distribution Centre
(IPCC/DDC) has been established to facilitate the timely distribution of a
consistent set of up-to-date scenarios of changes in climate and related
environmental and socio-economic factors for use in climate impacts
assessments. The intention is that these new assessments can feed into the
review process of the IPCC. The DCC consists of:
- Climate Scenario Gateway
Includes links to baseline climate data sets and Special Report on Emissions
Scenarios (SRES)
climate scenarios.
- GCM Archive
Contains monthly mean Global Climate Model (GCM) data. Data is only available
in GRIB format. These consist of results of IS92a and SRES GCM runs.
- Socioeconomic Baseline
Contains data sets on non-climate conditions such as social, economic,
environmental, land use, and other factors.
