A multi-method dataset of terrestrial mammals from the Yaakunah K’aax private reserve, Yucatán, Mexico

This dataset documents the terrestrial mammal assemblage of the Yaakunah K’aax Private Reserve, a 450-ha protected area in Yucatán, Mexico, using four complementary sampling methods: direct observations, camera traps, Sherman live traps, and AHDriFT systems. Sampling was conducted from 19 February 2024 to 30 July 2025, resulting in 59 sampling events and 371 occurrence records. A total of 40 mammal species were documented, including 37 native and three introduced species, representing nine orders and 21 families. The dataset provides records of small-, medium-, and large-sized terrestrial mammals and was structured as sampling events linked to their corresponding occurrence records.
