资源简介:
The Study of Health in Pomerania (SHIP) is a population-based study. SHIP consists of the two independent cohorts: SHIP-START and SHIP-TREND. The aim of the study is the investigation of common risk factors, subclinical disorders and manifest diseases in the population of Northeast Germany. Determination of gut microbiota profiles using 16S rRNA gene sequencing was performed as described before in detail [1]. In brief, DNA was extracted from fecal samples stored in a DNA-stabilizing EDTA-buffer using the PSP Spin Stool DNA Kit (Stratec Biomedical AG, Birkenfeld, Germany) following the manufacturer's instructions and isolates were stored at -20 °C degrees until sequencing of the V1/V2 region of the bacterial 16S rRNA gene using the 27F and the 338R primers on a MiSeq platform (Illumina, San Diego, USA).
