This project investigates topographic wind effects (i.e. speed up) for the main island of Puerto Rico and
the municipal Islands of Vieques and Culebra with the goal of advancing our understanding of how
geomorphic complexity (topography) enhances the surface wind field at structural height and ultimately
exacerbates damage to civil infrastructure and lifelines.
