Watermelon production volume in Spain 2014-2023

The watermelon is one of the non-citrus fruit most produced in Spain. The annual production of this fruit showed an upward trend throughout the period of consideration, reaching approximately 1.38 million metric tons in 2021. The following year, watermelon production underwent a slight decrease dropping to 997,000 metric tons. In 2023, production is expected to reach over 1.17 million tons.
