Special Graduate Survey 2019

The "Special Graduate Survey 2019" is a survey conducted by NIFU. The survey was conducted in the spring of 2019. It was conducted for people who had graduated with a master's degree from Norwegian universities in 2016 and Norwegian people who were expected to graduate from foreign universities in 2015 or 2016. The survey has questions related to the transition to the labor market and labor market situation 2-3 years after completing education. It allows comparison between people who had their education from abroad and people who had their education from Norway, and studies of people with education in all disciplines. The survey also contains background information on gender, age, immigration status. Questions about the labor market situation include unemployment, horizontal and vertical maladaptation, time to first job and job satisfaction.

The candidate surveys have been conducted as so-called half-yearly surveys and special surveys. This survey is a special edition of the Special Graduate Survey. Special surveys are conducted approximately every two years. They are usually conducted longer after the exam, usually focus on selected groups, and can cover a wider range of topics than the mid-year surveys.
