Replication package: What the Open Citation Graph Misses — DOI Availability and Reference Coverage in AI and Library and Information Science Journals, 2015–2024

Replication package for a study measuring the share of publisher-deposited references that enter the open DOI-based citation graph, with OpenCitations COCI as the primary resolver and OpenAlex as a second resolver. The package contains acquisition and analysis code, a data manifest, derived article-level tables, result tables, figures, the manuscript source and PDF, and the pre-submission audit. Raw Crossref and OpenCitations responses are included as compressed JSONL; no full texts, credentials, or personal data are included. Code is released under the MIT licence; derived numeric tables under CC0 1.0. Underlying bibliographic records remain subject to the terms of Crossref and OpenCitations.
